What
is the Collie Club of Greater Miami all about?
The
Collie Club of Greater Miami* is dedicated to the promotion
of the Collie through social and educational programs
for members of all ages.
Club members, through meetings, matches, seminars, clinics, shows and fun events
endeavor to educate ourselves and the public as to the proper care and maintenance,
raising, breeding, training and showing of the Collie in a climate of true
sportsmanship.
The CCGM is a licensed member of the Collie Club of America and a sanctioned
member of the American Kennel Club.
We encourage the support of dogs laws of this state and encourage the sport
of dog shows for both breed and obedience, the pleasure of being "owned" by
a Collie and to conduct dog shows for the pleasure, exercise and recreation
of our members.
Obedience, Agility, Herding and Canine Good Citizen Trials are among the many
activities planned throughout the year.
Junior Handlers obtain experience at being a responsible dog owner and exhibiting
good showmanship.
Collie Club members assist in the rescue, rehabilitation and forever placement
of Collies who for a variety of reasons were left abandoned.
The Club holds fundraising events for the support of our Collie Rescue Program,
Dog Shows and Educational Programs.

You should join the Collie Club of Greater Miami to learn more about the breed
and behaviors of Collies. We have lots of fun showing our Collies in Breed,
Obedience, Agility and Herding Dog Shows. And one of our important issues is
the rescue of unwanted and abandoned Collies. We work together to fine them
a happy loving forever home.
Are
there any membership dues?
Yes, we have a $15 annual membership dues.
