“Hi My name is Bodie (AKA Bowden) I came to rescue a few months ago because my family was moving and couldn’t take me with them. I’m only 4 years old and i LOVE to play. I also am a terrific watchdog. You see, i’m really very shy. I like to stay at home with my companion and lay on one of these comfy memory foam beds. I never had a soft bed before. But when someone comes to the gate I go into protection mode! And I can be REALLY loud. At least until I get to know you. Mom says I’d do great with someone who lives alone and wants to feel safe. Or maybe with big kids.
I lived outside in a fenced area and only had an igloo to stay in. My people did let me out now and then so I did learn a few great human words, like my name, NO and come. Other than that, Mom here calls me her ‘NO’ dog because I had nothing before I got here. NO, shots, NO house manners, NO grooming, NO training and NO HeartWorm prevention! So yes, I have heart worms. Mom had me tested for that weird gene and I do have the bad one. So since i’m so active they decided to do a ‘slow-kill’ method instead of fast kill shots of Ivermectin. (you’d need to keep me very quiet for 4 months and that isn’t gonna happen!) I finished my doxycycline and am now getting my Interceptor (can’t use Ivermectin i.e. heartgard or any ‘mectin’ on me or I could die!) once a month RELIGIOUSLY!! The Doxy killed the babies and sterilized the adults and in about another year they will all grow old and die. The interceptor will keep new ones from settling in.

So here I am a 4.5 year old, white factored, sable merle kid, who likes most other dogs but I prefer girls, maybe cats too, just looking for a new home to call my own and someone to protect. Hope it’s YOU!! And just have to let you know that i'm a really sweet boy.. who likes most dogs but prefers younger girls.

So Mom will only let me go to a home with a fenced yard, where I am the only dog, will get all the attention and in exchange I'll be your new BFF."
